Into the Wild

Saya selalu menyukai film yang memberi saya inspirasi. "Into The Wild" salah satunya. Pertama kali membaca sinopsisnya, sekitar 5 tahun lalu, saya langsung mencatatnya dalam daftar "wajib ditonton". Enggak cuma itu, soundtrack di film ini juga bikin saya rela menontonnya berulang-ulang. Sean Penn, sang sutradara, tahu betul kalau figur dan karya dari Eddie Vedder di film ini memberikan daya tarik tersendiri buat para penonton. 

Paling tidak ada beberapa quote inspiratif di film ini, yang saya dapat dari beberapa sumber. Quote dari tokoh utama, Cristopher McCandless, berikut ini mungkin bisa jadi motivasi, buat sekali saja seumur hidup pergi menjelajah sendiri, menyapa sisi lain dunia.

The sea's only gifts are harsh blows, and occasionally the chance to feel strong. Now I don't know much about the sea, but I do know that that's the way it is here. And I also know how important it is in life not necessarily to be strong but to feel strong. To measure yourself at least once. To find yourself at least once in the most ancient of human conditions. Facing the blind deaf stone alone, with nothing to help you but your hands and your own head.

Some people feel like they don't deserve love. They walk away quietly into empty spaces, trying to close the gaps of the past.

 I read somewhere... how important it is in life not necessarily to be strong... but to feel strong

 The core of mans' spirit comes from new experiences. 

You don't need human relationships to be happy, God has placed it all around us.
